Thieves rob jewellers in Scotland

Thieves have made off with thousands of pounds worth of rings after robbing a jewellery store in Moffat, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
The incident took place on Wednesday, July 22, at around 12:45pm, when two men entered Gemini Jewellers in the town centre and stole a “significant quantity” of rings thought to be worth thousands of pounds…..

Two men have been caught on camera using an axe to smash through a glass door before ransacking display cabinets in a daring smash-and-grab early Saturday. The pair broke in just before 4am and swiped around $15,000 worth of Pandora rings and other jewellery in just one minute.

Houston Heist Grabs $1M in Goods From Diamond Dealer

An Israeli diamond dealer was robbed of an estimated $1 million of merchandise last week in Houston, multiple sources have confirmed.
The diamond dealer was reportedly accosted on his way to the airport. Local Houston area TV station KPRC 2 reported that the dealer was followed to the airport by a gang that proceeded to rear-end his vehicle and grab his case of goods. The TV station added that the dealer was unhurt in the incident.

Bolton jewellers hit by armed robbers, passerby knocked over

A gang armed with axes and crowbars have stolen a “large amount” of jewellery from a jewellers in Bolton.
Four offenders travelling on two stolen motorbikes parked up outside the store on Newport Street, Bolton, at 4:45pm on Friday 4 July.
Police said that one of the robbers waited outside with the bikes while the other three, who were also armed with axes and crowbars, entered the store….

Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair hit by 17 thefts in four days, with goods worth HK$6.9 million stolen

The Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair came to an end yesterday – but the four-day event made headlines largely for a series of thefts which saw jewels worth a total of HK$6.9 million stolen.

In the latest cases, which came to light yesterday, three people were arrested for the theft of a HK$830,000 diamond on the opening day of the fair, Thursday, while a bag of diamonds worth some HK$460,000 was reported to have gone missing on Saturday….
