Tiffany Wins $12M in Case Against Counterfeit Sellers

New York—A federal judge granted Tiffany & Co. a $12 million default judgment in a trademark infringement case against the operators of multiple websites said to be selling counterfeit items.In a ruling handed down June 24, U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith of the Florida Southern District Court in Miami ordered the 12 defendants to pay $1 million each and give control of the websites over to Tiffany….

Man (18) arrested after Ballymena jewellery burglary

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft following a burglary at Adair Jewellers in Ballymena on Saturday.The man remains in police custody following the incident, which took place shortly after 1pm on Church Street in the town.Two men entered the jewellers and made off with a quantity of jewellery. Armored truck robbery suspect sighted

Paphos police have tracked down the third suspect in last week’s cash-in-transit heist, days after he had managed to evade capture during a highway stop. According to local media, 33-year-old Nigerian national Elochukwu Azubuike, who is wanted by police in connection with an armored truck robbery in Nicosia, was reportedly seen on Wednesday afternoon near a river in Kouklia, Paphos district.

£191,250 compensation for ring theft victim

A woman who had precious stones stolen from two rings by a jeweller has won £191,250 in compensation after complaining to the Channel Islands Financial Ombudsman (CIFO) that her insurer had refused to pay out. The complainant, known only as Miss A, purchased the rings in 2011 and contacted a jeweller in 2015 when she wanted to sell them.

Criminal gang steals eight tractors worth £500,000

Thieves have stolen eight nearly new New Holland tractors worth almost £500,000 during a raid in Oxfordshire. Police said the tractors were stolen during the night of 20-21 May from a farm machinery dealership at Cassington, near Witney. All were New Holland T 7.210 machines valued at £60,000 each, said detective constable Chris Piggott, of the National Vehicle Crime Intelligence Police Service.
