A gang who stole £7m from their own van in a brazen cash-in-transit raid dubbed « The Heathrow Heist » have been jailed for more than 20 years. The fake robbery involved security guards Mohammad Siddique, 32, and Ranjeev Singh, 40, and was one of the biggest heists in UK history. Singh, 40, made off with £7 million in six minutes by staging a robbery after picking up the money for Credit Suisse at Heathrow Terminal 4, on March 14.

A 22-year-old Albanian man, Daniel Muka, was arraigned in court charged with the attempted murder of RIU officers. The man was also charged with violently resisting arrest by popice officers, and threatening the officers. He was also charged with possession of cocaine and being in possession of a firearm. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded in custody.

Luxury jewellers and watch shops are employing former special forces and retired police officers to help protect their stores and staff from a wave of violent robberies in central London. Mappin & Webb on Regent Street, Watchfinder in Mayfair and Boodles in Chelsea have all been attacked in the past two months by armed gangs using mopeds to swoop in and getaway at speed.

Builders are thought to have performed a citizen’s arrest on one member of a group of thieves who attempted to break into Watchfinder & Co’s Avery Row store in central London today.
Unconfirmed reports from social media suggested that a group of as many as 20 builders noticed the attempted robbery taking place and proceeded to confront the suspects before police arrived…..

A moped gang armed with hammers raided a luxury jeweller in broad daylight as bystanders filmed on mobile phones.
Dramatic footage showed six robbers dressed in black and wearing helmets speeding away from Boodles in west London as smoke poured from the shop.
The gang stormed into the Basil Street store in Knightsbridge and smashed through glass displays with hammers just after 10.35am on Wednesday…..
