Even the Food Standards Agency Could Access UK Surveillance Data Under New Bill

The UK’s proposed mass surveillance powers, if made law, will force internet service providers to store every citizen’s web browsing history for up to a year. From there, police forces and security agencies will be able apply for a warrant to access the data.

£30,000 worth of jewellery stolen in Cornwall smash-and-grab

Police are on the hunt for thieves who stole some £30,000 worth of goods from a jewellers in Cornwall.

French police in meltdown after four-tonne cheese heist

Some thieves in France have made off with a rather odd prize recently – four tonnes of cheese. Police were called to a break-in on Monday in which the owner of the Napier dairy in the town of Goux-les-Usiers discovered some crooks had stolen roughly 100 wheels of comté, a luxury cheese which can only be made in the Franche-Comté region using unpasteurised cow’s milk.
