Colombian citizen accused of stealing suitcase with jewelry extradited to Russia

MOSCOW, March 9 (RAPSI) — Colombian citizen Edgar Alejandro Valero, who stands charged with stealing a travel suitcase with jewelry at a fair in the city of Kazan, was extradited to Russia from Argentina, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office informs RAPSI on Tuesday.
Investigators believe that in July 2018 in the city of Kazan, in the pavilion of the Kazanskaya Yarmarka exhibition center, Valero and his accomplices stole a travel suitcase from an employee of the Seven Diamonds jewelry company, which contained jewelry worth 160 million rubles ($2 million at the current exchange rate).
