Pedestrians were amazed to see three burglars covered in brick dust running from a Cheltenham fabrics store after they set off an alarm while attempting an ‚old fashioned heist‘ – knocking a hole through a cellar wall into the jeweller’s nextdoor! On January 9th this year, the trio broke into the Cheltenham Tweed shop in the Promenade and drilled their way through the dividing wall in the basement to get into the adjacent shop full of valuables, Gloucester Crown Court was told yesterday (March 29)…..
