Bolton jewellers hit by armed robbers, passerby knocked over

A gang armed with axes and crowbars have stolen a “large amount” of jewellery from a jewellers in Bolton.
Four offenders travelling on two stolen motorbikes parked up outside the store on Newport Street, Bolton, at 4:45pm on Friday 4 July.
Police said that one of the robbers waited outside with the bikes while the other three, who were also armed with axes and crowbars, entered the store….

Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair hit by 17 thefts in four days, with goods worth HK$6.9 million stolen

The Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair came to an end yesterday – but the four-day event made headlines largely for a series of thefts which saw jewels worth a total of HK$6.9 million stolen.

In the latest cases, which came to light yesterday, three people were arrested for the theft of a HK$830,000 diamond on the opening day of the fair, Thursday, while a bag of diamonds worth some HK$460,000 was reported to have gone missing on Saturday….

Shoppers attempt to apprehend burglars in Manchester raid

Two men have been caught on camera just minutes after carrying out a raid on a jewellery store in Manchester city centre.
The two men were riding a lime green motorcycle and approached Arthur Kay and Brothers Jewellers on Market Street at around 2:50pm on Thursday, July 2, where one jumped off the motorcycle and used a sledgehammer to smash the store’s display window…..

Gang admit £230,000 armed jewellery store raid

Three men have admitted carrying out a £230,000 armed robbery on a jewellers at the Argyll Arcade in Glasgow last year.
Jason Yendall, 29, Aaron Brannan, 24, and Jason Britton,23, pleaded guilty to the armed raid on the jewellery retailer Rox in the Argyll Arcade. In total, 21 watches were stolen, including 19 Hublot watches, some worth between £19,000 and £23,000 – none of which have been recovered……

Shootout in Cretan hotel between armed robbers and Police forces

Two Greek and one Albanian criminals seem to have a rich criminal past. The three endangered the lives of innocent tourists and small children alike after shooting up the Creta Maris hotel in Crete.
One of the Greek perps who has been wounded by police shots, suffered a fractured thigh and extreme bleeding. Doctors at a nearby hospital, made a herculean effort to keep him alive. This is a convicted felon who seems to have been leading the other two. Out of said two, one was wounded on the forehead, and one on the shoulder……

‘You picked the wrong guy’: jeweller chases off armed robber with baseball bat

Devon & Cornwall Police have released CCTV footage of an attempted armed robbery after the owner of a jewellery store successfully chased the suspect away.
The robbery, which took place at Coopers Jewellers in Barnstaple on the afternoon of Thursday May 28, was unsuccessful after the store’s owner, David Bruce, chased the armed robber off with a baseball bat……
